'Imortal' finale to air this month, says John Lloyd

MANILA, Philippines - Hunk actor John Lloyd Cruz shared that his hit television series, "Imortal," with Angel Locsin will come to an end this month.

In an interview with "The Buzz," Cruz said the series will end after 6 months of “hard work and love.”

"It's been quite a journey for me kasi sabi ko nga bago kami nagsimula, ngayon lang ako papasok sa ganitong genre, ‘yong [fantaserye]," Cruz said.

When asked what made him accept the project, Cruz, who is known for being good dramatic actor, said: "Hindi naman puwedeng ganoon at ganoon na lang ang ginagawa natin. Gusto ko ding [maiba] kasi it's a way of giving back to my audience." Read more...

Angel Locsin Anne Curtis part ways with personal belongings for shop & share

PARTING WITH HER pricey Chanel bag and Tiffany necklace to an online charity auction was the “ultimate sacrifice” for Anne Curtis.

Anne and fellow ABS-CBN talent Angel Locsin are the organizers of Shop and Share, a celebrity online auction raising funds for victims of Storm “Ondoy” and Typhoon “Pepeng.”

Angel Locsin: No Escort in Emmy Awards 2009

Angel Locsin left for New York for the 2009 Emmy Awards by herself. Angel, who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a TV series for her role in “Lobo,” asked co-star Piolo Pascual to come with her for the cocktail event and awards night but the actror is busy with “Lovers in Paris.”

Angel told SNN late Thursday that it’s but right to ask only Piolo because, “Siya naman ang kasama kong naghirap sa ‘Lobo’ so kung hindi siya available, hindi na lang ako nagyaya ng iba.”

SNN host Kris Aquino lauded Angel’s decision to go without an escort rather than have any other guy who was not part of “Lobo.” “It’s very proper of Angel,” Kris opined. More of the full story here.

RP 3 nominations for Emmys include Angel Locsin

MANILA, Philippines—Angel Locsin, the second Filipino nominated for best actress in the 37th International Emmy Awards, will walk the red carpet at the gala
ceremony in New York on Monday (Tuesday morning in Manila).

“This is a big honor. I try not to think about whether I would win the award or not. It’s enough that people appreciated my hard work. It’s time the world took notice of Filipino talents. My 15 most memorable TV interviews: Including Angel Locsin

This is the third installment of the series of articles on my 15 most memorable TV interviews to mark Startalk’s 15th year on television.

Interview with the general — It’s just too bad I don’t recall the general’s name anymore, but he was already there during the early phase of the investigation of the Nida Blanca slaying.

I recall it was around 9 a.m. of Nov. 7, 2001 when our building manager woke me up by calling my landline. He told me that Ms. Blanca was found dead in nearby Atlanta building. I was still so sleepy that time that nothing registered in my head. Before I could even put the phone down, I got a call on the intercom from the lobby to tell me that Startalk executive producer Kokoy Boncan was downstairs telling me to dress up and come down.

Angel Locsin Anne Curtis Share through shop & share

THEY’RE gorgeous and glamorous movie stars but apart from that, Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis prove that they are more than just pretty faces.

The two have partnered to create Shop and Share (Shopandshare.ph), a website where celebrity stuff are auctioned off for the benefit of recent calamities which caused great destruction and fatalities to millions in the country.

Is Angel Locsin and Luis Through?

Is it really over for Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano? The two accidentally bumped into each other during a performance in A.S.A.P. They both didn’t know that they were included in the opening number. “Dun lang uli kami nagkita. Biglaan. I didn’t know he was included in the opening number. So medyo nakakaloka ang reaction ko,” explained Angel.

“I didn’t notice if we held hands. I am not sure and I cannot remember,” said Luis.

Angel also revealed that they were not talking to each other after the break-up. “It’s kinda weird if we continue to talk to each other. Break na nga di ba,” she reasoned out. “I just want to be true to myself. Weird naman kung chummy chummy kami agad. I was really surprised to see him at the opening number of A.S.A.P.
